Hours after announcing their split, ‘Beat Again’ quartet made their way to the Alan Carr‘s ‘Chatty Man’ to share more on their reasons for breaking up.
Unfortunately for founding member Oritse Williams, addressing the group’s demise proved far too much for him to handle when he broke down in front of the show’s studio audience- comforted by the members he scouted and led to ‘X Factor UK’ glory.

Set to air tomorrow night, their appearance on the otherwise upbeat show comes after MOBO reported Williams had inked a management arrangement with CAN Associates, who oversee the career of Brit Reality TV royal Peter Andre.
Of course, while Aston stands as the most obvious soloist, we’re hoping Oritse has serious plans in place in the coming months. For, though we really can’t see him faring well as solo musician, there’s no reason he can’t pull a Will Smith and rebrand himself as an actor.
A reach on our part? Perhaps. However, as Ashley Walters soon learned once UK collective So Solid called it a day, acting could serve as the perfect medium to keep one’s name and brand potent without sullying it with fruitless solo attempts.
It’s just an idea, but as a musician who has done so much for Brit-Pop music and the perception of black men in British culture, Oritse is more than deserving of an epic solo career…even if it is away from music.
