No stranger to sales trickery, the Bajan model has once again dug into her trusty bag of distraction tactics to boost the performance of her latest LP ‘Unapologetic’.

This past week saw longtime rival Beyonce re-rocket back into the top 10 of the Official UK Album Chart with her near-two-year-old album ‘4’. The project’s revival came on the back of the British screening of her hit HBO special ‘Life Is But A Dream’ on the BBC.
In a move that appears to be a direct response, Team Rih slashed the price of ‘Unapologetic’ by a whopping 50% less than 24 hours later. Check out the 25-year-old’s telling Facebook post below:
Being the fair and unbiased site we are, it’d be unfair to play down the success of both ‘Unapologetic’ and Rihanna as a brand in the UK. Indeed, in no uncertain terms, she is performing exceptionally well in the region.
However, the clear reactive pricing of her product suggests those manufacturing her buzz are well aware of the act(s) legitimately at the top of the musical food-chain; acts such as Beyonce who are able to shift both singles and albums with relative ease.
Perhaps a less laxed approach to her vocals and performances will see Rih shine bright like a diamond on the album charts — full priced.
