Upon its release this morning, ‘Effects’ has flown to #4 on iTunes album charts and #1 on the R&B tally, on the back of momentum generated by new single ‘Lose To Win’ and the Missy Elliott and Kelly Rowland assisted ‘Without Me‘.
On course to become only of the only R&B albums to debut within the Billboard 200’s Top 5 within the last year, the project’s speedy ascent is set to rise even further once physical copies of the album and thrown into the equation.
As it stands, the Harmony backed release is currently outselling Justin Timberlake‘s ‘The 20/20 Experience’ – which has already sold 38,709 units when 52.77% of this week’s sales are counted.

I wish her the absolute best. She is one of the few artists who are trying to keep R&B alive without selling out to Pop. I will be buying her album this weekend. I really hope she debuts at #1. She is what R&B needs.

I agree. I think that Side Effects should’ve been the first single for crossover appeal (Emile Sande is a lyrical beast) and If I Was A Bird (in the end runs Fanny sounds like Brandy, i was like wow!) and i also think that End of Me should be a single. That song has been slaying me all day!
