We’re just going to come out and say we’re not feeling Andre’s contribution…at all. Lacking the human touched that made the original what it is, we’d say this version could have done without it.
This, going some way to sully the gem that is Beyonce‘s voice on the track, packing a gentle honesty we met on cuts like ‘I Care‘ and ‘I Miss You‘ two years ago.
In all honesty, as genius as Andre is, we’re a little surprised that this is the route he took with this- experimental when simplicity would have sufficed.
