Colour us confused, but are we the only ones who thought Ray J didn’t make music anymore?
In any case, the R&B bad boy is back with the classy single ‘I Hit It First’.
The artwork for the single begun doing the rounds late last night, and it seems it inspired someone somewhere to unwrap the song a day earlier than the 32-year-old intended.
And while ex-Kim Kardashian isn’t called out by name, the lyrics make no secret about who the controversial star is singing about.
Take a listen to Ray J’s homage to his “blue movie” co-star below…

The saddest part about this blatant cry for attention is that both the song’s production and Ray’s flow “work”. Yet, what is clearly missing is his understanding of the fact that how you start is how you finish.
As Kim’s career has shown, the antics she’s most known for have tarnished her name in such a way that no matter how hard she tries to sanitize it with faux-class and relationships with those whose talent eclipses hers, she’s still “Kim from that video”. In the same way, if Ray ever plans on being taken seriously as a singer, songs like this regress his cause ten-fold. Yes, he’ll get a quick “LOL” (and maybe even a few paid club performances), but the real punchline is the career he thinks he’ll have off the back of it.
Like the rest of the world, we patiently await Kanye West’s inevitable clap-back.
