Promotion has nothing to do with it, it’s hiphop fans being too stupid to know what good rap is, ESPECIALLY FEMALE HIPHOP FANS. If the music doesn’t make them shake their asses in the club, they don’t want to listen.
True s***. Its a shame my generation can’t appreciate good hip hop music. I grew up listening to the old school b/c of my parents, therefore I grew to like it and respect it. Not too many new rappers nowadays can get my attention except for J.Cole and Kendrick. The other s*** they play on the radio is wack. All people seem to care about is club music.

To me Miguel is better than JT, he has a better voice etc…. but why is he not doing as well as JT?

JT is an established act with fans from the Nsync days, he makes pop records which Miguel doesn’t, and he is white.
Everyone’s lane is different, not everyone music reaches the same demographics. R and B music is darn near niche music nowadays.
