After battling illness throughout the duration of the sold out tour, Pop Queen Beyonce has been forced to cancel tonight’s ‘Mrs.Carter Show‘ tour date at Belgium’s Sportpaleis.
Details below…
Set to be rescheduled, the night’s cancellation was confirmed in an email by the 17 time Grammy winner’s camp to Gary Pruitt‘s ‘Associated Press’, who explained:
“Beyonce is cancelling her Tuesday concert in Belgium because of dehydration and exhaustion.
In an email to The Associated Press, the singer’s publicist says Beyonce has been advised by her doctors to rest. She was scheduled to perform at the Sportpaleis in Antwerp. The show will be rescheduled and tickets can be used at that show.
Her next tour date is Wednesday at the same arena. The statement says “she is awaiting word from her doctors before making a decision.”
Beyonce, 31, launched her “Mrs. Carter World Tour” last month in Belgrade, Serbia. It wraps Aug. 5 at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, N.Y.”
The philanthropist’s cancellation comes weeks before she storms London’s Twickenham Stadium to perform at the hotly anticipated Gucci backed ‘Chime For Change’ outing, as explained here.
It also comes after the 02 network reported that their exclusive ticket based partnership with the tour saw them enjoy a record breaking first quarter sales increase.
An increase, which saw them secure a whopping 251,000 new Smartphone users when they made tickets to the tour exclusive to their customers, two days before they became available to the non 02 users.
