With contributions from Lana Del Rey, Beyonce, Frank Ocean and Emeli Sande, the soundtrack for Baz Lurhmann‘s ‘The Great Gatsby’ is on track to score impressive numbers on the Billboard 200.
Good news below…
Crafted by ROC mogul Jay Z, the Interscope backed release is now on course to debut with over 100,000 units by the end of the next chart week- surpassing earlier expectations of 95,000.
Set to come in at #2, the project is also on course to mark Baz’ third soundtrack to reach the Top 3 after ‘Romeo & Juliet‘ peaked at #2 in 1996, and ‘Moulin Rouge‘ arrived at #3 back in 2001.
Had it not been for Lady Antebellum‘s ‘Golden‘, the soundtrack would have peaked at #1, thanks to Beyonce’s sultry rendition of the Amy Winehouse classic, ‘Back To Black‘ and Lana Del Rey’s ‘Young & Beautiful‘.
‘The Great Gatsby‘ is now available to watch in theatres worldwide now.
