Before her new single ‘Live It Up‘ matches and betters feats scored by 2011’s ‘On The Floor’, Jennifer Lopez has been announced the co-founder and creative director of ‘Viva Movil’– the new mobile phone brand in association with Lowell McAdam’s Verizon Communications.
Details below…
With 75% of US based Latinos owning smart phone, ‘Viva’ will target these consumers when selling the smartphones and applications sold by Verizon, with Lopez currently readying the launch of stores up and down the country that will use bilingual sales clerk to sell products to Latin consumers.
Quite interestingly, Verizon doesn’t own a stake in the company but will no doubt reap the rewards of being one of the first carrier to directly target the affluent demographic, which can now enjoy a unique shopping experience on Facebook- using the brand to shop online with friends, comment on mobile phone devices and receive personalised recommendations.
On the genius venture, Lopez explained:
“As an entrepreneur, empowering the Latino community is at the core of what I choose to have my businesses stand for and exemplify.”
Customers planning to use ‘Viva Movil’ stores will be pleased the learn that each location will be fitted with a children’s play area, with statistics proving that most Latin consumers travel with families when shopping- with Verizon’s Mark Walden explaining:
“The Latino population is 52 million strong and growing, and we knew that to stay on the path and deliver the best customer experience, we had to do more.”
