Well this definitely isn’t the way to celebrate your newly-found single status with fans, is it?
If you’d paid top dollar for a Rihanna gig, waited another two months for it to be rescheduled because the star had laryngitis, and then had to stand around for a whopping three hours until she came on stage, with no support act to keep you entertained, you might be a bit Ri-Ripped off.
And the not-exactly-known-for-her-punctuality singer faced lots of boos when she finally got her leather-clad self onto the stage in Boston, offering no explanation for her lateness.
What was she doing for 180 minutes? Instagramming every moment of her backstage drunken-ness and/or naked-ness?
Getting stuck in her leather thigh-high boots?
There was speculation that Ri-Ri was watching a basketball game (she’s apparently a big fan) as the Chicago Bulls were taking on Miami Heat in the opening contest of the NBA Eastern Conference semi-finals.

Rihanna’s lack of apology after the show further angered her fans
She left her fans disappointed in March when illness caused her to cancel her Diamonds World Tour in Boston.
But after rescheduling her concert for Monday night, Rihanna further angered her patient fans by turning up to the stage three hours late – causing them to boo the singer as she performed.
One fan wrote: ‘Boston waited 2 months and then Rihanna was 3 hours late to her packed concert. She deserved to get booed! We were mad as hell.’
Another wrote: ‘@rihanna just showed up over three hours late in Boston for a make up show since she canceled a few months back due to sickness. Im over her.’
And while no reason was given for Rihanna’s lateness, many speculated that it was because the basketball fan was watching the Chicago Bulls take on Miami Heat in the opening contest of the NBA Eastern Conference semi-finals.
And with no opening act for the show at the TD Garden venue, concertgoers were quick to take to Twitter to voice their frustrations over the singer’s tardiness.
Rihanna made no explanation for her late arrival to the stage when she tweeted following the show: ‘#BOSTON I will never forget this night!!! I truly have deeper love for you now!!! Thank you for making it extra special!! #DWT.’
However, the singer’s lack of any form of apology further angered many fans, with one writing: ‘So after the show that her fans waited 3hrs for, Rihanna tweets no explanation/apology. Rather, “BOSTON I will never forget this night!!!’
But while many were left unimpressed by Rihanna’s behaviour, others remained loyal to their idol.

Also Monday, “Dancing With the Stars” dipped a little bit for ABC, but “Castle” was steady. FOX got next to nothing from its “Rihanna 777” special. CBS’ comedies were pretty much even with last week, but “Hawaii Five-0” ticked up.
ABC led the night in viewers, drawing 12.2 million people and a 7.9 rating/12 share in households. NBC took second with just over 10 million viewers and a 6.1/10. CBS (7.5 million, 4.7/7) took third. FOX (2.1 million, 1.4/2) was a distant fourth, and The CW (755,000, 0.5/1) trailed.
NBC easily led the 18-49 demographic with a 3.3 rating. CBS finished second with a 2.2, beating out ABC’s 2.0. Neither FOX (0.7) nor The CW (0.3) could break the 1.0 barrier.
