New Song: K. Michelle – ‘V.S.O.P’ (New Single)

From a musical standpoint, it goes without saying that K. Michelle has been the breakout star from VH1 hit ‘Love & Hip-Hop: Atlanta’.

Indeed, her potent potion of persona and actual talent have seen her find favour among the show’s millions of viewers; a great look for the super vocal singer now that she has begun rolling out new material.

Last month brought with it “buzz cut”, ‘I Just Wanna’, yet today sees the premiere  of ‘V.S.O.P’ – the lead single from her aptly titled new album ‘Rebellious Soul’ (due July 30th).

Ms. Michelle talks a good game, but can the shade connoisseur walk it too? The answer awaits below…

A delicious and unapologetic slice of Soul-filled R&B, ‘V.S.O.P’ hits quite the home run. For, not only does it play to K. Michelle’s Old Skool aura, it does so while managing to remain “current”. Put simply, the cut’s lush production and solid vocals ensure we’ll have this on repeat for the foreseeable. Will you?

Randomness: Are we the only ones baffled as to why K says she’s leaving the show? Surely logic would have her stay put for at least  another season, assess show’s commercial value for her career, and decide thereafter. In “playing the game”, it’s important she doesn’t play herself. Just thinking about aloud…
