As has been swarming the net since earlier today, ‘Va Va Voom’ vixen Nicki Minaj is reportedly the next judge aboard ‘American Idol’s judging panel to bid the show adieu – following the lead of veteran judge Randy Jackson.
What started off as a testament to the diva’s growing star power quickly turned sour as she fended herself from blame by a number of the show’s devoted fans for its decline in viewership since news of her inclusion.
Indeed, from the very start her tenure on the reality singing competition has been rocked with criticisms, beginning with that epic diva showdown with fellow judge/pop icon Mariah Carey…
The incident brought with it what many believed would be heightened buzz for the show’s 12th season, but as quickly as the hype hit a feverish pitch, it declined. Even with three of music’s top acts occupying seats at the judging table, the show toppled with its worst ratings ever – consistently losing battles to NBC’s ‘The Voice’.

This show is not for wild animals with zero self control. I’ll never forget how she told those two guys to “get off the stage!” It was so rude and unnecessary. Her fans seem to think that her so called “honesty” is what makes her the best judge but a lot of the things she said were just rude and that s*** can break someone’s confidence. Not trying to say she should dress up what she says but critique doesn’t have to be harsh like the way Garbaj, Simon, and sometimes Randy does it.

Nicki Minaj gave good CONCISE critiques which Mariah struggled with. Nicki wasnt afraid to get boo’d and was straight forward. Nicki was the only judge to joke around and connect with the contestants. Nicki livened the show. Nicki commented on their style and encouraged the contestants to stay true to their style and connect with the audience.

I feel that they’re trying to change this. Thank God it seems Rihanna is going to take a time off, ’cause I can’t stand the same microwave eletropop she makes. I think Beyoncé, Mariah are bringing R&B back for our happiness! The R&B artists are doing music to sell, doing eletronic-pop and this is sad… I feel really happy when I see Akicia Keys not selling millions of albums but doing great music, somethins she belives, something people aren’t doing, and I don’t care if A-Keys are seelling millions of records, but I didn’t listened such a great female album since “4” by Beyoncé. So the problem is, the proble is American Idol is a show that makes me tired to watch uintil the end, and don’t think people won’t get bored with X-Factor or The Voice, it’s just a matter of time… Little time.
