Love is all ‘Put It In’ Prince Sammie had for Kelly Rowland and Frank Ocean this week, when TGJ caught up with the R&B wonder. Of course, while you may have seen the bulk of our conversation with him here, our time with performer did not end there- carrying on to see him share his thoughts on Rowland’s new single ‘Dirty Laundry‘ and the open letter than turned Frank Ocean into a cultural icon.
His words below…
On Frank, he explained:
“I’m really glad he wrote that letter and I support him because he’s was brave to do that…and live his truth- I can’t do anything but respect that.. Sometimes, his music is so deep that it’s sometimes hard to understand what he’s saying but i love the feel of the music and his honesty. I mean, with all the cyber bullying that goes on for the average person it had to have been hard to say what he said not knowing how people would react…definitely respect him for that”.
On ‘Laundry‘:
“I feel that’s where R&B should be heading. She’s talking about real life and real experiences so people are attracted to it because they recognise the realness, I love her other stuff but I love Kelly the most when she’s being 100% honest in her music…I’m in love with her.”
