If you’ve been wondering what Grammy-nominated crooner Joe has been up to lately you needn’t look an further than ‘DoubleBack: Evolution of R&B‘ – his tenth studio album due in stores July 2nd.
Led by the well received single ‘I’d Rather Have A Love’ (as reported here), the tune sets the pace for what is being hailed as some of the music veteran’s best work. To follow-up on the momentum, Joe enlists R&B soulstress Fantasia to assist in the throwback decorated ‘Love & Sex’.
Incorporating tidbits of 70s R&B group The Chi-lites’ ‘Thin Line Between Love & Hate’, tuck in below to hear the duo deliver a knockout vocal performance over the old school sample…
Magnificent! While we anxiously await Fannie’s other collaborative efforts with our girl Kelly Rowland, we gladly welcome her tag teaming up with another of R&B’s most respected vocalists. Never fighting to outdo each other, Joe and Fannie’s vocals complement each other to a tee in ‘Love & Sex’. An homage to the R&B of 90’s yore, we applaud singers like this dynamic duo who continue their dedication to the genre despite so many of their contemporaries deciding to do otherwise.
Straight up fire!!!
Straight up R&B chart topper…. AT BEST
