Eve Announces US Stage Tour

Published: Tuesday 23rd Jul 2013 by David

A number of intimate settings will play host to the ‘Lip Lock’ tour, to be put on by rapper/actress Eve it has emerged today.

All the details below…

On August 26th 2013, the seasoned entertainer will kick start the stage show at Washington’s Howard Theatre, birthed to celebrate the release of its supporting album of the same name

Following this performance, the star will embark on seven additional nights to complete the stage show, which will end in Colorado’s Aspen at ‘Belly Up’ venue, which will welcome Country icon LeAnn Rimes for a performance on August 10th.

‘Lip Lock’Tour Dates:

Aug. 26 – Washington, D.C. – Howard Theatre

Aug. 28 – New York, NY – Irving Plaza

Aug. 31 – Detroit, MI – Chene Park

Sept. 1 – Minneapolis, MN – Epic

Sept. 5 – Los Angeles, CA – The Roxy

Sept. 6 – Oakland, CA – Grand Live

Sept. 7 – Denver, CO – Radio Show – TBA

Sept. 8 – Aspen, CO – Belly Up

A testament to Eve’s determination to push the album, there’s no doubt this tour will restore her positioning as one of her genre’s most competent live acts, and see her make serious bank- if more dates are added and production costs are kept as low as possible.

For, while ‘Lip Lock’ needed a major label machine to secure it the roll out it deserved, the absence of a label will see the profits made from this tour be Eve’s and Eve’s alone, sure to prove that a commercially unsuccessful era does not always mean a commercially unsuccessful era.

With tickets going on sale tomorrow, we have no doubt they’ll be snapped up in no time, and hopefully encourage Eve to mask the scent of ‘Lock’s chart shortcomings with the wins she’ll no doubt score on this tour!
