As far as comebacks go, very few have been handled as immaculately as that launched by SWV, returning in 2011 with their fourth studio album ‘I Missed Us’.
Now, as they continue to write the next chapter of their story, the ladies have announced the birth of their very own Reality TV show, brought to fans by We TV.
Taking them directly to We‘s female audience, the show was announced on the group’s official Twitter page minutes ago, as seen below…
Also home to the hit show ‘Braxton Family Values’, We’s decision to pick up the SWV format is no doubt as a result to the renewed popularity the trio have scored since their return.
Indeed, thanks to the support of their long running fan base and interest they’ve secured in younger listeners, the last two years saw their comeback album peak at #1 on iTunes R&B, and book a number of international performance dates, headlining a critically acclaimed gig at London’s Wembley Arena back in March.
As fans of the group, we can’t wait to see how this show pans out and hope its focus will lie in the process behind their return, while exploring their lives today in the most positive light possible!
Bring on the Fall!!
Hopefully, this TV show will lead to another album being released and garner more sales/interest in them. Their last album ‘I Missed Us’ is a decent one, and they still have their tight harmonies. Coko’s vocals are still flawless. And as for their rendition of Patti Labelle’s ‘If Only You Knew’…. Dayam!!!!!

Oh..
Nothing but love for these beautiful black icons. Those sistas could SANG. Sista with motherfuckins voices b****!!! I’m just glad they’re getting a paycheck honestly. I love all my 90’s girlgroups. TLC, SWV, En Vogue, Xscape tore it the f*** UP for R&B <3
Isn’t it too bad that xscape and en vogue cannot put aside their egos and re-band there groups? If not for the fans, than why not at least try it for the money? because the members of these groups are not saying much these days.
I missed us was one good comeback album that still get played in its completion till this day. I’m looking forward to this and hopefully an album following the series. It’s a shame being in the UK I have to search online for the American shows.
I’m happy for them and add me to the list of those who enjoy their “comeback” album, I MISSED US. I hope that the show doesn’t become negative and they rehash why the group broke up and whatever petty nonsense went on “back in the day”. I watched Taj’s reality show a few years ago and didn’t care for the way Coco talked to Lee Lee and am not looking forward to her acting out the way Nikki Gilbert has on R&B Divas.
I’m a Fan of SWV & also 1 Album by Xscape~En Vogue & Dc3 really hit it home with harmonies!!
TAJ LELEE & COKO WERE PRODUCTS OF THE GHETTO, THEY WERE RAISED IN THE VERY RUNDOWN AND NEGLECTED SOUTH BRONX AND BROOKLYN IN THE EARLY 70S. I HOPE THEY DOCUMENT THIS BECAUSE ALOT HAPPENED TO THEM BEFORE SWV FORMED IN 1990. EVERYTHING FROM SEXUAL & PHYSICAL ABUSE TO PROSTITUTION TO TEENAGE PREGNANCY TO LOSING PARENTS AS CHILDREN…THEYVE SEEN IT ALL AND I HOPE THEY OPEN UP ABOUT EVERYTHING BECAUSE THEY ARE TRUE SURVIVORS.
OMG Why?? Reality tv is officially for the has beens…
P*** OFF B**** SWV HAVE A COMPLETELY NEW FANBASE FROM TEENS TO 25YRS OLDS SO STFU!!!! THEY RECENTLY HAD A CONCERT IN LONDON AT WEMBLEY ARENA WHERE THEY PLAYED TO A SELLOUT CROWD – 90,000 PEOPLE WHATWHATWHAT!!!!!!
