Lensed by noted photographers Gomillion and Leupold, the stunning shoot sees the American Idol graduate ad Dreamgirls star strike many a diva pose.

Speaking in the spread’s accompanying interview, the mother of one revealed that the follow-up to 2011’s ‘I Remember Me’ is on course for an Early 2014 release.
Interestingly, the meat of the project has been cooked up in Manhattan with hitmakers Pharrell Williams and Timbaland, while Hudson describes its overall sound as “upbeat”. Of the action-packed studio sessions, the singer said:
“What we’re doing feels so right that I never want to go home (from the studio). My sister and my manager will be sleeping on the coach while we work until 4 or 5am.
This record is not about me playing a part or me as spokesperson. Should I give away the title? Let’s just say you’re gonna get Jennifer-ized.”
For those more moved by the songbird’s ballad efforts, she promises the record will boast heartfelt moments too. Of one deeply personal track ‘Moan’, she says of its inspiration “my mom always used to say that if you moan, it’ll make you feel better”.

As keen appreciators of J.Hud’s talent, we’re waiting on that body of work that’ll really make a statement. Here’s hoping it’s this project.
