Upon reportedly sending lewd images to R&B singer Ashanti and her mother/manager, Mr. Devar Hurd found himself convicted in 2010 for the crime, after a long running obsession with the ‘Good Good’ star.
Unfortunately, it seems his time behind bars wasn’t enough to stifle this obsession, as it has now emerged that he has continued to harass the star by sending her sexuality explicit tweets on the social media platform Twitter….and approaching her sister at a party.

A personal trainer by trade, the man pictured above defied an order of protection barring communication between he and Ashanti‘s loved ones when he published sexually explicit tweets to the entertainer, but more seriously- approached her sister at a NYC party and posed for a picture with the unsuspecting girl.
In an attempt to defend himself upon his July 23rd arrest, he explained:
“Yeah, I sent Ashanti lots of tweets, including the sexually-base ones. I went up to Shia at a party. It was open to everyone. I took a picture with her.
Then, after claiming his sexual advances had been welcomed by her family, he said of the court order placed against him:
“That’s something the Court wanted, not the family. The family doesn’t care. “That’ sex texting, is what it is! “It’s for the ladies!”
Pleading not guilty to charges of felony stalking and harassment at his Manhattan arraignment three days ago, the confused individual is now being held at Rikers Island, with bail set at $750,000. On his worrying obsession, Manhattan Supreme Court Justice Thomas Farber told him:
“Mr. Hurd, I realize you don’t want to hear this, but it’s obvious to me that you need to get help.”
