All roads lead to the August 12th premiere of Katy Perry‘s new single ‘Roar’ – the lead release from her third studio album ‘Prism’.

The Dr Luke cut and its accompanying video has been previewed in earnest, whipping up heightened buzz with each new snippet.

Today saw the curtain drawn back on the latest, which has been christened ‘Satin Cape’.

Interesting. Fingers crossed the single lives up to the dramatics. It’s sounding like a radio smash (which figures given the Dr Luke connection), however radio-ready and actual quality can (and often are, these days) different things. Here’s hoping Katy has found the right medium with ‘Roar’. In any case, the answer awaits in a mere matter of days.
