First Week Sales Figure: 658, 179
Marking his third #1 album, ‘Same’s sales see it stand as the first and only Hip Hop effort to debut with traditional sales of over 600,000 units, and the second highest first week number after Justin Timberlake‘s ‘The 20/20 Experience‘, as is explained here.
In other news, Elijah Blake and J.Cole have great cause to celebrate today, as streams of their collaborative cut ‘Vendetta’ surpass the 10 million milestone- thanks to unofficial versions of the number uploaded by fans on the digital outlets YouTube and SoundCloud.
The number’s streaming success comes months before the release of Blake’s debut album ‘Songs About Melody’, due out in 2014.
