Beyond a predictable, yet lucrative return to American Idol, things have been relatively quiet for Jennifer Lopez.
Indeed, since Summer single ‘Live It Up’ fizzled instead of sizzled, the dynamo diva has maintained a low profile of sorts. Even this Sunday’s performance at the American Music Awards has been billed as a tribute.
The brief hiatus seems to be over, though.
See what we mean below…
Taking to Twitter today, the 43-year-old posted the following message and video:
“Something big is coming soon, and trust me… you won’t want to miss it!”
With Idol’s January debut around the corner, could J.Lo be looking to capitalize on the buzz earlier than usual? Time will tell. Although we’re entirely at one with such a roll-out. Waiting until the live shows often proves risque business, as La Lopez will be the first to confirm.
Indeed, while Idol’s latter episodes served as a great platform for mega-smash ‘On The Floor’ back in 2011, an attempted repeat tanked with last year’s ‘Dance Again’. What’s more, the parent albums of both songs didn’t at all benefit from the FOX hit.
Put simply, it’s smart business to start using the platform early. That way, an actual album can be promoted once the live shows roll-around next Spring/Early Summer.
Anyway, enough of the rambling. Are you excited for J.Lo’s “surprise”?
