As sales of her second studio album skate well past the 5 million sold worldwide milestone, this week has brought with it the first week sales predictions for its more radio friendly follow up ‘ARTPOP‘.
Predictions, from the ever accurate Hits Daily Double. The same ‘Double’ who predicted Rihanna would score her first #1 album with ‘Unapologetic’ weeks before its November 2012 release.
So, just how many units do they believe the Pop icon is set to shift come release week?
The answer to that question awaits you below…
375,000 units.
The above is the forecasted figure HDD believe ‘ARTPOP‘ will move once it hits stores on November 11th.
If the figure looks a little familiar, it may be because this is the same first week number moved by Nicki Minaj’s debut album ‘Pink Friday‘, which sold that many units in November 2010 and went onto shift 660,000 units in the four weeks that followed, pushing its US sales to the 1,035,000 unit mark before December’s end.
If ‘Double’s forecast proves to be accurate, this would mark GaGa’s second highest first week figure with ‘Born This Way’ moving 662,000 fully priced units in 2011, and her ‘The Fame’ and ‘Fame Monster’ moving 24,000 and and 174,000 in their respective opening weeks.
