Based in the UK and don’t recognise the artist pictured above?
Well, before reading any further…look again. For, upon doing so, you’d see that that artist is none other than Kyle Lettman, formerly of Urban Pop trio Fundamental 03!
Now, many moons removed from his time in the group, the 20 something kicks off his very own solo career with the release of a new single…’Your Body.’
Does he have what it takes to soar above the UK’s current batch of R&B hopefuls?
Find out below!
As impressive as Lettman’s voice is, here’s hoping his forthcoming EP and its supporting visuals are executed better than this one.
For, on a sonic level, the sound he serves with ‘Body’ is dated and says nothing of the material consumers are taking to now.
Sure, while the cut does make for a great listen, it finds itself falling in line with a hundred other cuts penned by UK acts- written with no thought given to what the consumers they need to support their careers are actually listening to.
Problematic, as his brand of R&B struggles to soar in its own domestic market, speak less of a nation whose leading Urban acts see the bulk of their glory found in Pop numbers.
Then, despite its high end feel, its video did more to endorse /promote its ‘leading lady’ than it did to push Kyle.
Interesting, as its Kyle and not his leading lady who all eyes should have been firmly placed on!
Much better than Omarion 2.0 2bh.
Stfu! Jermaine doesn’t sound like Omarion.
Come on sis, you know he’s been copying Omarion for years and needs to let that s*** go. At least this one has his own sound.
You stan for Cheryl, therefore your opinion on vocals are nul in void.
Omfg! When will these British flops know that they CAN’T do R&B. This is giving me album filler teas.
I love this song!!
True say the girl in the video must be bangin the director.
Why are TGJ trying to make out as though FDM were these huge stars. They were famous in the UK’s black scene but they were NEVER EVER mainstream even though they came. I think people overrate them because they were talented but they were not big stars who made any kind of impact anywhere.
1. They never had a single hit.
2. NONE of them have doing anything of note since Geffen dropped them.
Not Rita fans talking about impact. The only splash Rita makes is her knickers everytime she lets a randomer feel her up.
I can’t even deal right now, like I can’t even F****** deal right now. Is someone who stans for Angel and Katy B coming to tell me about impact.
Angel’s album didn’t even scrape the top 50 and Katy couldn’t find relevance if her hair dye depended on it babe. Don’t worry about Reets, her three number one singles and platinum albums when your favs don’t even have one silver album between them.
Katy would have three #1 singles, a platinum album and a wide p**** if she f***** about as much as Rita does. #IndustryPussy
Sorry, I was too busy counting Katy’s album sales to give a damn about what you had to say.
*Counts to five.
Same old boring sound. Can you say stuck in the 90s?
YOUR BODY? OH MAH GAWD DA POWER OF LEGENDTINA EGGUILERA
Duhloojhon. Christina’s stomach was as wide as Rihanna’s forehead when she put that song out.
I hope he didn’t pay for this video, cos whoever edited it took the p*** with all those shots of the girl.
