Pop’s “it girl” and the Material Girl are set to join forces for MTV!
Indeed, reports have surfaced that Grammy-winning pop queen Madonna is set to duet with twerking pop princess Miley Cyrus for a must-see unplugged set.

“The two were reportedly on a Hollywood sound stage Monday rehearsing for their collaboration. It is unclear which songs Cyrus and Madonna, 51, will be performing, but the “Like a Virgin” singer will apparently be one of a few guests.”

If the report proves true, we are certain to have our earplugs at the ready for what promises to be an interesting vocal showcase. Yes, we are here for Madge adding Miley to her latest conquest of self-preservation (see: Justin Timberlake, Lil’ Wayne, Nicki Minaj, Macklemore, Britney Spears, and Lady Gaga as former victims). But, for a live session? Umm, we don’t know about that one.
Here’s hoping trusty backing tracks will be on deck and that the performance will be a bit more aurally pleasing than Madge’s showing at the 2014 Grammys.
