Kanye West may need a miracle of biblical proportions to resurrect sales of current album ‘Yeezus’, but that hasn’t stopped the rapper from taking the project to the big screen.
Moments ago, West unwrapped a trailer for a ‘Yeezus’ movie, which is set for a theatrical release.
While no further details about the project were released, one has to wonder if it can spark renewed interest in its parent album – which has sold just 640,000 copies in the US since release last June.

Come on guys. More than 600,000 copies is not that bad. He´s an artist that has had several huge albums in the USA already (well huge for 00s standards). Sometimes it´s impossible to keep on that level of selling power for that long. At least he can say he did it before, others can´t say that(not to mention he can always come harder commercially with his next one, he is still young and so creative).

Don’t feel sorry for Kanye, he’s a very accomplished artist with 6 #1 albums, 4 Hot 100 #1’s (surpassed by only 3 rappers: Eminem, Diddy & Ludacris) and he’s made the top 10 list of the top selling digital artists of all time (with 30+ million sales). Kanye’s a creative and some work will be underrated, but I’m sure his next project will easily find him the commercial success he’s accustomed to. Either way he’s clearly made his mark! I look forward to seeing this movie.
