The net has been roaring for the last day or so with mixed review of Snoop Lion’s Instagram-unveiling of freshly French manicured nails.
Indeed, the legendary rapper (formerly known as Snoop Dogg) was dealt a fiery hand of comments after sharing pics of his latest fashion accessory to fans. But, we’ll argue that the response – which was surprisingly mixed – begs a bigger debate: what is the big deal?
Some fans even cite some of Snoop’s most notorious fashion choices over his tenured career as evidence that he has always gone against the “hypermasculine” grain of hip hop. And, the fact that the gangsta rap veteran – who was clearly aware of the potential backlash the picture would bring – still so boldly upload it says a lot.
