After weeks of speculation, No Doubt frontwoman Gwen Stefani erased all doubt of her intention to join NBC’S ‘The Voice’ when she shared the snap seen above.
Joining new judge Pharrell Williams and taking over for resident judge Christina Aguilera, expected to be on hiatus due to pregnancy, the 44-year old songstress (who recently welcomed her own new bundle of joy) sent fans into a frenzy when she made the official announcement today via Instagram.
Though Stefani’s trip to ‘The Voice’ panel was only made official tonight, Aguilera may have beat her to the punch with the announcement when she welcomed the ‘What You Waitin’ For’ wailer to the fold early this morning. See what she said below:
Much like the likes of Aguilera, Mariah Carey, Jennifer Lopez, Kylie Minogue, and others who have taken shifts on talent show judging panels, we’re hoping Stefani’s tenure on ‘The Voice’ bench will signal new music from the ska queen.
She’s been very vocal in the past about having no intention to go solo again, but we wouldn’t mind seeing her crank out new hits by her lonesome.
Your thoughts?
