Kelly Rowland is wasting no time piecing together of her fifth studio album.
Having recently announced her departure from Universal Republic, the R&B diva has begun work on the project as she mulls over the newoffers.
Billboard recently caught up with the ‘Motivation’ maven, who dished on the creation of the as-yet-untitled LP. What’s more, in news that will no doubt delight the singer’s ever loyal “Rowland Stones”, the 33-year-old revealed that she has already recruited hitmaker Pharrell Williams for the project.
Quotes and video await after the jump…
Stressing that she’s in the “beginning stages” of recording, the solo Grammy winner said:
“Pharrell [Williams] is on board. We already talked about it. I’d love for Timbaland to be on board. We’ve had discussions as well,” she continued to share. “I want to try to some new talent as well. There’s so much new talent… There’s somebody out there with something new to give and I’d love to tap into that as well.”

Smart move given Pharrell’s stellar catalogue of hits and, of course, his current popularity – which is a marketable for anyone he’s affiliated with these days.
Their last offering ‘Street Life’, from Rowland’s recent ‘Talk A Good Game’ LP, was a ball of fire. Here’s hoping they bring more heat.
