For most artists, a six-year gap between albums would be unthinkable. Yet for soul-filled songbird Solange it’s only increased anticipation.
The 27-year-old’s last full-length LP, ‘Sol-Angel & The Hadley Street Dreams’, saw her shed the “sister of a superstar” tag and command critical acclaim of her own. Naturally, buzz for a follow-up has continued to gain momentum, and reached fever-pitch when the singer released taster EP ‘True’ in 2012.
Now, after signing with Columbia Records, it appears the star is ready to unwrap her third full-length album.
Details after the jump…
The news came courtesy of Solange herself during a Q&A with fans last night…
Early fall, have written 25 joints…recording and narrowing, very happy! “@joeLIKEwhoaa: when can i expect new music? True still knocks.”

It’s the album I may have been afraid to make, but had no choice but to make. “@Saryonce: anything you can tell about your next project?”

Here for it. “True” was a dope record. Here’s hoping that she made up with Dev Hynes and gets back with him for some new tunes.
