2013 may have seen her social stardom on a non-stop incline, but 2014, on the other hand, has not been nearly as kind to ‘Glee’ star Naya Rivera.
As if her highly publicized breakup with rapper/boyfriend Big Sean wasn’t enough, the triple threat starlet was reportedly written out of the season finale of the hit series that brought her to fame.
Now, ahead of ever releasing a full length album, reports indicate the ‘Sorry’ singer has been dropped from label home Columbia Records…
Is there light at the end of the tunnel?
Via Billboard:
“The 27-year-old, who plays Santana Lopez on the hit Fox series, was one of the first “Glee” actors to land a solo record deal, and announced plans to begin work on an album in summer 2011. Last September, “Sorry,” Rivera’s debut single featuring then-boyfriend Big Sean, was released; the song did not chart on the Hot 100 and has sold 34,000 downloads to date, according to Nielsen SoundScan.”

We’re keeping our fingers crossed for this talented beauty. Her future on ‘Glee’ may be in question, but we definitely believe that her future in the industry is not. To what capacity that future will see her involved in the industry, on the other hand, time will tell.
