After its predecessor ‘Roar‘ reached sales of 5,377,000 US units since the August of 2013, ‘Horse’ trotted past sales of 5 million in the very same market this week, making it the sixth single from the star to do so.
‘Firework’ – 6,622,000.
‘E.T’. – 5,736,000 .
‘California Gurls’ – 5,630,000.
‘Hot N Cold’ – 5,511,000.
‘Roar’ – 5,377,000.
Pulled from her fourth studio album ‘Prism‘, Perry’s latest win with the single comes as it drops one spot down to #6 on this week’s ‘Billboard Hot 100′, kept in the Top Ten by radio spins garnered on a number of radio formats, supported by Emmis’ Communications’ ‘Hot 97′ and CHR station ‘KISS-FM’ alike.
Certified Gold for sales of over 200,000 units in the UK, ‘Dark‘ tops the US 5 million mark as Norah Jones‘ ‘Come Away With Me’ becomes the 11th album to hit the 11 million units mark since the arrival of ‘SoundScan‘ in 1991, while 8,447 units push Future‘s ‘Honest’ to sales of 92,951 copies sold this week.
