#1.
While her debut album ‘The New Classic’ may have welcomed sales of the pint-sized persuasion in its opening week, Iggy Azalea‘s latest single ‘Fancy’ has given fans ample reason to predict that she’s set to score her first US #1 this year!
Yes… #1 on the ‘Billboard Hot 100.’
Good news below…
In the last week, Iggy kicked dust in the face of her competition when she sold 200,000 units of the aforementioned single, pushing it well past the 500,000 unit milestone and forcing it to #4 on the ‘Hot 100.’
As if that wasn’t enough to solidify her status as one of Pop’s more exciting newbies, the success of her Ariana Grande– led ‘Problem’ sees her become the fifth artist in history to occupy two Top Two spots on the ‘Digital Songs‘ tally, with ‘Fancy’ perched at #2 and ‘Problem’ partying at #1.
This, thanks to the 438,000 units it moved in the last seven days to score the largest opening week sales for a single this year, and the highest since Katy Perry‘s ‘Roar’ touched down with 557,000 copies in the August of 2013!
Could Iggy claim the #1 spot?
