Grammy-nominated performer Tamar Braxton has found herself in scolding hot legal water this week, after a songwriter has claimed that Braxton and one of her writers used her lyrics and vocals to complete the star’s song ‘One of One Fun‘…but did not credit her for doing so.
What went down?
Emmi Kozulin‘s story below…
According to Kozulin, she co-wrote the number ‘One on One Fun‘ with ‘Empire State of Mind’ writer Angela Hunte for Braxton’s sophomore album ‘Love & War.‘
Then, after demoing the jam for Braxton, Kozulin claims that Hunte took the cut to Braxton, who recorded it and joined producer Diplo, Hunte and LaShawn Daniels on its songwriting credits…allegedly leaving nothing for Kozulin, whose vocals she says were used in the cut’s final edit, without her permission!
Quite interestingly, despite being credited as one of its writers, Tamar’s reps posit that the legal drama “has nothing to do with her”, and is between Hunte and Kozulin, who-if successful in her suit- will be entitled to 50% of its royalties and damages.
