Linda Perry has penned classics for the likes of Christina Aguilera, Celine Dion, and Pink. However, it’s doubtful the legendary songwriter will be receiving a call from Beyonce anytime soon.
For, while doing the press rounds to promote her new VH1 show, ‘The Linda Perry Project’, the 4-Non Blonds star served up choice words about the ‘Drunk In Love’ diva’s songwriting — or alleged lack-thereof.

When quizzed by a fan during a Reddit Q&A about Bey’s “rumored” songwriting practices, Perry offered a response that wasn’t exactly endorsing.

Linda, how do you feel about Beyonce changing one word on a song and getting writing credit. Does that bother you as a songwriter?
well hahaha um thats not songwriting but some of these artists believe if it wasnt for them your song would never get out there so they take a cut just because they are who they are. but everyone knows the real truth even Beyonce. She is talented but in a completely different way. {Source}

At Beyonce’s level of superstardom, it’s a given that everyone and their mom will have an opinion about her. However, on the subject of questionable songwriting, there has yet to surface any concrete proof. Hence, rendering all claims to the contrary nothing but conjecture. As a seasoned veteran, who has sat down for countless professional interviews herself, one would assume Perry would understand this. But perhaps not.
Either way, we doubt Bey is losing any sleep…
