With anticipation for Janet Jackson‘s comeback at fever pitch, fresh reports have whipped buzz into overdrive.
The Pop queen recently attempted to quell speculation that she’s been working on a new album in stealth mode. However, it’s becoming increasingly apparent that “something” is nigh.
Now, a British newspaper have further poured fuel on the flames of excitement.
See what we mean below…
Yesterday, The Sun On Sunday reported that the diva has been working on a new LP, which is slated for release before Christmas. As yet untitled, the set would be her first since 2008’s ‘Discipline’.
The piece went on to add:
The label are really pushing Janet and have made her a priority act for the year, which means a big budget.
If it sells well she will look at doing a world tour in 2015.”
What’s more, it was reported (by multiple sources) that the singer and her team were in London last week on business, with one of the stops being a meeting with Simon Cowell to discuss a performance on The X Factor (which remains one of the biggest shows in the UK).
The said sources also touted November for the project’s release date.

We… are… ready!
Granted we have been during each of the years that have passed since her last album, there’s something about the current climate that just feels…right.
Indeed, Jackson’s six-year hiatus has created the perfect storm of anticipation that she can very much use to her advantage. And, if leveraged the right way (see: epic music, videos, promotion, performances), could quite easily put her back atop of the charts.
She has a legacy and skill-set that are legendary. As such, it’s time to show the modern music market why both her first name and last name are so iconic.
