A trio of backing dancers have filed a lawsuit against ‘Dark Lady‘ singer Cher this month, after they claim the singer claimed there were too many “dark-skinned” dancers on her “Dressed to Kill” tour.
What happened next? An incident which led to the firing of the aforementioned trio…two of them being black.

Filed on Thursday, the lawsuit claims that the singer remarked that there were too many darker-skinned dancers in her camp, and then had her choreographer hire a Caucasian dancer over an African-American one to remedy this.
Then, after informing her management team that another dance had been assaulted in a Las Vegas hotel room while on tour, two of dancers claim they were fired and cite Cher’s earlier remarks as the reason behind their dismissal.
Their legal battle with the star comes as the third dancer claims she was dismissed because she was considered to be too old to dance for the 68 year old superstar.
Her publicist has denied all the allegations, and claims that there is no truth to any of them.
