Jessie J has ample cause to smile tonight. For, current single ‘Bang Bang’ has bolted straight to the top of the Official UK Singles Chart.

Though the vocal powerhouse is ‘Burnin’ Up’ US iTunes with her new single of the same name, the Ariana Grande and Nicki Minaj assisted ‘Bang’ has just been released on home soil and has, upon its arrival, become the singer’s fourth British chart-topper.
In achieving the feat, the Max Martin produced track joins ‘Price Tag’, ‘Domino’, and ‘Laserlight’ on her list of UK number ones.
The co-billed Minaj will be celebrating too. For, the track becomes her first ever British chart-topper. Prior to now, 2012’s ‘Starships’ – which peaked at #2 – was the closest she’d come.
As for Grande, ‘Bang’ serves as her second offering to nab the top spot, after ‘Problem’ hit #1 earlier this year.
The song’s success gives ample ammo to J’s third studio album, ‘Sweet Talker’, which arrives in stores on October 13th.
