Report: Taylor Swift Pens Katy Perry Diss Track… ‘Bad Blood’

…now I know just where you stand, your performance definitely deserves a hand

Fans of Nickelodeon sitcom Taina will recognise the lyrics above from the number ‘I Thought That Were Friends’, featured in an episode starring a then 22 year old Kelly Rowland.

Twelve years later, the song’s theme of betrayal between friends finds itself confronted by Pop princess Taylor Swift, who has recorded a Katy Perry diss track named ‘Bad Blood.’

An interesting report below…

In her new spread in the magazine, Rolling Stone reveals:

Swift’s focus on sisterhood cuts both ways, because when another woman crosses her, she’s equally fierce about hitting back. The angriest song on 1989 is called “Bad Blood,” and it’s about another female artist Swift declines to name. “For years, I was never sure if we were friends or not,” she says. “She would come up to me at awards shows and say something and walk away, and I would think, ‘Are we friends, or did she just give me the harshest insult of my life?'” Then last year, the other star crossed a line. “She did something so horrible,” Swift says. “I was like, ‘Oh, we’re just straight-up enemies.’ And it wasn’t even about a guy! It had to do with business. She basically tried to sabotage an entire arena tour. She tried to hire a bunch of people out from under me. And I’m surprisingly non-confrontational – you would not believe how much I hate conflict. So now I have to avoid her. It’s awkward, and I don’t like it.”

Why fans of both ladies believe the song is aimed at Katy?

Idolator explains:

Internet detectives were quick to point the finger at Katy. It seems that some of the dancers on her Prismatic tour previously worked with Taylor before jumping ship. If so, this is the reformed country crooner’s most immature grudge yet. The people in question were originally part of Perry’s Teenage Dream extravaganza and were probably just showing some loyalty.

If Swift’s ‘Blood’ was penned with Perry in mind, it wouldn’t be the first time the ‘Prismatic’ princess has been accused of playing dirty.

Earlier this year, ‘Hits Daily Double’ came under fire from the performer’s management camp when they published an article suggesting Perry had Disney belle Selena Gomez booted from the company…weeks after signing to it.

Accusing the star of having her managers cut business ties with Gomez, ‘Double’s report prompted this response  from Camp Perry, slamming claims that Perry had her Pop sibling ousted to stop her from taking a bite into Perry’s share of Teen Pop pie.

This, after entertainment blogger Perez Hilton surprised the singer’s fans when he claimed ‘ARTPOP’ singer Lady GaGa was “upset” that image Katy upheld in public stood miles away from how she behaved privately.

Deleting the tweets shortly after he published them, Hilton claimed:

@PerezHilton: @Haus_of_Peter GaGa likes Katy publicly. Privately @LadyGaGa personally told me (inaccaurately) that @KatyPerry was doing cocaine and…

@PerezHilton: @Haus_of_Peter She was upset that Katy had a good girl image but she claimed was not that in private.
