Having starred in a bevy of Hollywood blockbusters in recent years, it’s no surprise that Jamie Foxx‘s musical ambitions have taken a backseat.
However, the do-it-all talent is back with new song ‘Party Ain’t A Party’ – the first single to be lifted from the follow-up to his 2008 album ‘Intuition’.
Produced by DJ Mustard, the club destined cut features rapper 2 Chainz.

Granted this isn’t Foxx’s first foray into club domain (see: ‘Blame It’), ‘Party’ is notable in that it’s the singer/actor’s most obvious attempt. A point that doesn’t take away from the song, but is interesting nonetheless.
Sonically, it positions itself right in the thick of what’s “hot” in the modern musical climate – which is arguably smart. That said, whether the masses take to a track fronted by a 46-year-old will be intriguing to see.
