The Final Numbers Are In: Keyshia Cole’s ‘Point of No Return’ & Tinashe’s ‘Aquarius’ Sold…

Two of the year’s most highly anticipated R&B offerings found themselves available on record shelves on the same day.

Indeed, October 7th brought with it the latest releases of R&B fan favorite Keyshia Cole and high octane newcomer Tinashe.  Between them, they left few promotional stones unturned as they popped up everywhere from ‘The Wendy Williams Show’ & ‘The Queen Latifah Show’ to ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live‘ and ‘106 & Park.’

But, was it enough?

With Cole reporting the lowest first week numbers of her career and Tinashe’s modest numbers slightly behind that, did each songstress’s additional releases (i.e. songs and/or videos) and promotional appearances act as just the tricks to hoist reported numbers upward?

Keyshia Cole is the final debut in the top 10, as her sixth studio effort, Point of No Return, bows at No. 9 with 25,000. All six of her albums have hit the top 10, andPoint of No Return follows 2012’s Woman to Woman, which debuted and peaked at No. 10 (96,000 opening week).
