The Pop starlet has not only hit number one with new single ‘I Don’t Care’, she’s made UK chart history in the process.

The track, which serves as the second single to be rolled out from her new album ‘Only Human’ (out tomorrow) debuted atop of the Official UK Singles Chart moments ago. In doing so, it becomes the performer’s fifth British chart-topper as a solo artist; a feat that sees The X Factor judge break a record.
For, she now holds the record for the most UK #1’s for a British female artist – topping Rita Ora and Geri Halliwell who she previously tied at four apiece.
Cole’s previous tracks to achieve the top spot are ‘Fight For This Love’ (2009), ‘Promise This’ (2010), ‘Call My Name’ (2012) and ‘Crazy Stupid Love’ which was released earlier this year. {Source}

Justifiably, there is every reason to bemoan this. Because, while not Whitney Houston vocally, Cheryl makes for a great Pop star on paper and from a performance standpoint is wholly engaging. Yet, it’s disturbing to see her achieving back-to-back #1’s and breaking records with such rubbish songs.
From where we’re standing, this dents the credibility of the British charts deeply. But that’s just our two pence. What are…
