Kendrick Lamar brought his ‘i’ video to life in triumphant form this evening on Saturday Night Live.
Backed by a full band, the Compton reared star rocked the house with the Isley Brothers-sampled cut, which serves as the first slice to be lifted from his hotly anticipated sophomore album (due next year).
Watch K.Dot in action below, where a performance of ‘Pay For It’ also awaits…
Jesus, please save me!
Love Kendrick and this song buuuuuut those creepy contacts and that half done hair is a no for me. If he was trying to make a statement, I missed it.
I will probably be in the minority, but I loved this! Very energetic and emotional! His band and background vocalists were killing! KL is miles ahead of the typical boring rapper!!!
Yes, he had awesome stage presence and he did a great job of conveying is passion but those contacts and that hair distracted me. It was mostly his eyes, he looked possessed.
I felt his vibe Good Look Kendrick Lamar!!
AWESOME performance!
I though it was an amazing performance. A bit scary. I know him and his team have some ties to the occult. He kept references the return of Enoch and some other stuff. It was creeeepy…but super ahead of what any other rap is giving right now.
