Dawn Richard is no stranger to controversy.
After all, it’s the very word that has defined 2014 for her following the messiest of break-ups from Danity Kane. 
In hoping to put the muddiness of that drama behind her, Richard is gearing up to release her latest solo album, ‘Blackheart’ on January 15th.
And while buzz has been growing for the independent set, the spotlight was intensified all the more this week when the singer unveiled the newest promo shot for the project.
Viewable above, the snap features the performer posing it up looking much different to the “her” fans have come to know and love over the years (pictured left).
We’re all for evolution, but surely folk should be able to recognise who they’re actually supporting?

I think this pic is more photoshop, makeup & airbrushing than anything,not surgery. People forget that makeup and lighting can give you that ‘look’. In any case, I’ll be there to support on the 15th.
But why go that hard with Photoshop, if you won’t look the same when you’re on tv? There is photoshopping the fat away and airbrushing the skin to make it look perfect, but photoshop for a new nose makes no sense. I’ve seen her Instagram pics and she is looking different. She got a good plastic surgeon, I will say that.
definitely photoshop. dunno whats wrong with people, theres older pictures from this same photoshoot from months ago, they have just altered this particular pic for whatever reason. She has not had any work done.

All she got was a nose job which is pretty much what Hollywood does. Honestly it’s the first surgery they all get but to say she’s headed towards looking like Kim is ridiculous

The sad thing is that she doesn’t look good. Her eyes look too far apart and the nose (sliced, diced or contoured) looks unnatural. I personally don’t see the need for the change in look. Her success so far is based on her singing, music and the way she originally looked, changing her look so drastically at this point wont do her any favours.
