Billboard’s newly crowned icon Jennifer Lopez has clocked up ample mileage during her illustrious career, but the dynamite diva shows no signs of slowing.
This year brought with it the release of her tenth album ‘A.K.A’, which didn’t necessarily set the charts on fire. It did, however, birth the bodacious hit ‘Booty (ft. Iggy Azalea)’.
In wasting no time building on the buzz of the year, the fierce 45-year-old has already returned to the studio and has enlisted a major name to help craft her follow-up LP.

According to new reports, Lopez has re-teamed with Rodney ‘Darkchild’ Jerkins on the as yet untitled project. The two have preciously collaborated on a number of songs the singer’s previous efforts, but their most notable outing remains her breakout hit ‘If You Had My Love’.
Additional details are scarce, yet for a number of reasons we know we’re buzzed.
The first is that Darkchild is easily one of the industry’s most gifted and versatile producers. What’s more, with J.Lo playing in Urban/Pop lane again after somewhat ditching the Dance/EDM craze, their re-pairing couldn’t have come at a better time.
Her sales may not be what they were, but much like her beauty, Lopez’s drive and work ethic continue to get better with time. She keeps things moving and we can’t wait to hear and see what she’s cooking up!
Randomness: Is it us or would anyone else love see La Lopez tackle something as hard-hitting as Janet’s ‘Feedback’ (another Jerkins production)? She kinda veered there with the unreleased ‘Hooked On You’ several years ago, but we’d welcome another try (with a better chorus)
