With new album ‘The Pinkprint’ powering into stores next week, Nicki Minaj is getting “real” with her promo campaign.
The fiery femcee will be hot on the press trail for the LP and is leaving no stone unturned.
Case in point her newly announced appearance on Fox’s freshman talk series, ‘The Real’.
Details below…
Minaj, who celebrated her 32nd birthday yesterday, will be paying a visit to the show – which is hosted by Tamar Braxton, Tamera Mowry, Adrienne Bailon, Jeannie Mai, and Loni Love.
The latter took to Twitter to confirm the news and praise the rapper for supporting the new platform:
Kudos to Nicki.
Granted a lot goes into creating “superstars” (namely knowing which platforms are “befitting” of the status they strive for), we’ve always felt there’s too much politics attached to where artists go on the promo trail.
Indeed, it’s routine for teams to deem certain channels “beneath” them only for their act to tank the following week when those first week sales come in. Oh the irony.
By incorporating The Real into her press run, which also includes established shows such as Ellen and Watch What Happens Live, Onika benefits from the exposure of their growing audience and garners great PR in the process for supporting an up and coming platform. Smart.
‘The Pinkprint’ hits stores December 15th.
