In a move set to make ‘Spotify‘ sit up and pay attention, Google has unveiled an audio version of their Chromecast technology.

Why the game has changed for music streaming?

Get in the know, below…

Billboard Biz explains:

Google Cast will power speaker integration that enables users to stream music from a select set of music services and apps — including Deezer, GooglePlay Music, iHeartRadio, NPR One, Pandora, Rdio, Rhapsody and TuneIn — to speakers using their computers or mobile devices (including iPhones and iPads). Notably absent from the list of initially supported services are Spotify and (not surprisingly) the Apple-run iTunes Radio and Beats.

‘Cast’s unveiling comes a decade after the launch of Apple’s AirPlay, a similar system which allows Apple users to pull music from the company’s products and play them on AirPlay-enabled speakers.

GooglePlay still wack tho. I don’t see this being a useful prop if the app it operates on is not functional.
