The songwriter Kirby Lauryen has good reason to rejoice today.
For, after writing Rihanna‘s latest single ‘FourFiveSeconds’ in support of the star’s new album, the wordsmith has seen the single rock iTunes UK with a Top Ten debut!
Fantastic news below…
Though unveiled two nights ago, ‘Four’ was released on iTunes UK this morning and now sits at #10, marking a positive start for the Kanye West and Paul McCartney-backed single.
Meanwhile, iTunes USA sees the number placed at #3, currently outselling Taylor Swift‘s ‘Blank Space‘ (#5), and sat two spots beneath the current #1, Mark Ronson and Bruno Mars‘ ‘Uptown Funk.’
The single marks the first to be pulled from Rih’s aforementioned new album, whose title and release date is yet to be announced but is reportedly the reason the singer is said to have bagged a performance spot at this year’s Grammy awards ceremony.
