‘Waterfalls’ singers TLC have been receiving showers of kindness from their fans.
For, less than 24-hours after the fundraising campaign for their “final album” went live, the group have raked in a third of their requested total.
Details below…
As relayed, the trio’s surviving members Tionne ‘T-Boz’ Watkins and Rozonda ‘Chilli’ Thomas are calling on their supporters to help fund the recording of their last LP. And to give incentive, they’re offering everything from signed vinyls to trips to the movies with them.
Many scoffed at the idea (TGJ included), yet the resilient ladies seem to be proving folk wrong. Because just one day after the announcement they have received donations totalling over $50,000.
The figure is noteworthy because it represents a third of their $150,000 target. And, with the campaign set to run for 30 days, it easily places the R&B outfit on track to hit their requested total and then some.

Kudos where it’s due, this could end up proving the naysayers wrong.
Still, we largely maintain that “perception is everything”, as such asking fans for money to create an album they’re still going to have to buy just feels…tacky.
Not to mention that no one seems to be talking about the costs attached to promoting the project once it’s complete. Anyway enough of our rambling…
