Beyonce & Rihanna aren’t the only vocalists making independent moves this year.
For, kicking out the middle man to reach their fans directly are R&B singers LeToya Luckett, Lyrica Anderson and Chrisette Michele, all of whom are making major moves on an independent front this year.

Following her departure from Capitol, Toya will release her third solo album this year, doing so via eOne two years after she bagged a role on VH1’s ‘Single Ladies‘ and after her self-titled debut LP was certified Platinum in the USA.
Elsewhere, Lyrica Anderson treats her fans to brand new material with the song ‘Hashtag’ and its Sean Alexander-directed visual.
The jam touches down following the release of the singer’s ‘King Me’ EP releases, and after she worked her magic on Jennifer Hudson’s discography with the cut ‘Walk it Out.’
Last, but not certainly not least, is Chrisette Michele.
Currently starring in ‘R&B Divas LA‘, the singer recently cut ties with Motown Records to launch her very own record label Rich Hipster, which can boast of having a distributor in Capitol!
Last November saw the release of her ‘The Lyricists’ Opus’ EP, peaking at #23 on Billboard’s R&B album tally.
