If you watched Katy Perry‘s record breaking Super Bowl set last week you would have seen the star deliver an electric showing of some of her greatest hits.
Alas, that’s not what you would have seen if your name happens to be Taylor Swift. For, this week has welcomed the arrival of claims that Ms. Perry used the performance to “sneak diss” her ‘Bad Blood’ rival.
How she’s said to have done it?
Find out below…
Fans of the feuding ladies will know that their spat began when Swift accused Perry of stealing her dancers, prompting her to pen the jam ‘Bad Blood.’
News of Swift’s allegations got back to Camp Perry and, if theories put forward by diss detecting fans are anything to go by, her Super Bowl was used to respond clap back in subtle style.
How?
Perry came at Swift with an insult so subtle, so well crafted and so imperceptible that you might question its very existence… because it probably doesn’t exist.
No, Smiler for Life. I don’t think you are reading too much into this, so let’s let Hollywood Liferead into it further:
Katy seemed to deliberately put the high-waisted polka dot bikinis on backup dancers. Backup dancers were reportedly the cause of Katy and Taylor’s feud in the first place. Ouch.
The understated dig is also pretty much a direct reference to Taylor’s Cape Cod summer with Conor Kennedy in 2012. The “Blank Space” singer was frequently spotted out with the dashing gentleman and we’d never forget that red, high-waisted polka dot bikini she wore that summer.
What do you make of the matter?
